ABOUT

English is a strange language filled with mysterious silent letters, tricky consonant blends and, my favorite, homophones! No doubt other languages have them too, but the fact that the English language borrows so many words and sounds from other languages means that there are a great deal of accidental pronunciation duplicates. Once such pair is the words “muscle” and “mussel,” which I have illustrated here for you today in a vintage styling. So there you go; now you know what a man, a mouse, and a mollusc all have in common.
