Everything Can Be A Butterfly

This is a daily Instagram project of mine from December 2014. Every day I found a new object or group of objects to arrange into a butterfly by simply positioning the items into a butterfly’s trademark symmetrical shape. The idea started with the simple idea, “if when life gives you lemons you make lemonade, then what do you do when life gives you other things?” The answer—butterflies. Butterflies are symbols of peace and beauty throughout the world. My hope for this project is that it reminds people to look at all aspects of life optimistically.
